Dimitrios G. Christopoulos to Unpack Distribution Rights in Supplier Bankruptcy in ABDI’s Leadership Education Series

PresentationsJasmine Salinas

Dimitrios G. Christopoulos will tackle the vesting of distribution rights when a supplier files for bankruptcy for the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois’ (ABDI) Leadership Education Series on Wednesday, September 9, at 8 am CT. The topic comes at a timely moment, following RNDC’s Chapter 11 filing earlier this year, which has put questions about distributor protections in bankruptcy squarely in front of the industry.

During the session, Dimitri will  walk members through:

  • How state franchise laws protect distribution rights,
  • Where those protections hold firm when a supplier files for bankruptcy,
  • Where federal bankruptcy law can override protections,
  • What distributors should be watching for if a supplier’s financial trouble starts to surface, and
  • How distributors can protect their position before it becomes a bigger problem.

This presentation is for ABDI members only. Members will receive the materials and link on Tuesday, September 8.

Christopoulos Law Group attorneys present monthly on trending industry topics on behalf of ABDI. Our next presentation will occur Wednesday, October 21.
