Dimitrios G. Christopoulos moderated the Anti-Trust & Pricing panel at the Center for Alcohol Policy‘s 19th Annual Alcohol Law & Policy Conference, held August 24-26 in Minneapolis.

The panel analyzed the Federal Trade Commission’s price discrimination case against Southern Glazer’s under the Robinson-Patman Act. The discussion examined what a consent order might require of Southern Glazer’s, whether its impacts would be felt beyond the company and how some states are approaching pricing and affordability in their own antitrust work.

Beer Marketer’s Insights featured Dimitri’s comments from the session in its conference coverage. The recap highlighted Dimitri’s insights on the wider interest that the suit and the agency’s claims have drawn among competing wholesalers and emphasized how he has been educating clients on pricing policy and discounting practices to ensure compliance with state beverage alcohol laws and the Robinson-Patman Act.
